26 Apr New Monthly Check-In Post! Lets Chat :)
Hey there! Thank you for checking in! I recently have been told that people are actually reading this stuff so I say, OMG THAAAAANK YOU!!!! I am so glad that I get to share with you and that you are sharing your time with me.
This time, I thought I would let you all into my life and what’s been going on in my work and family, and I think this will become a monthly thing. I appreciate connecting with others through experiences and advice! I think often times we don’t realize how much we are alike until we share our trials, tribulations, and triumphs with others. So let’s give it a whirl!
My daughter Azalea is wrapping up her first full competitive cheerleading season and I couldn’t be more proud! It has been really amazing to watch her grow in her abilities and learn such strong team working skills. I really enjoy being a cheer family and cannot wait to watch her try out for team placement in May! She is only 6 years old and already has her back handspring and walk over. For me, seeing the love she has for her activities is the best feeling there is. She is the best person I’ve ever met and I feel blessed to be her mom. I think it’s really important we make our children know how much we love them for exactly who they are and how proud we feel.
If only I had an ounce of my child’s energy, but instead my family struggles with thyroid problems, and I, unfortunately, fell into that mix. Lately, I’ve been off my medication and it has been really tough for me to keep up with the days. I start training around 5 am, so I am up by 4 and usually cannot get to sleep until 9 or 10 pm, sometimes later. This is tough for a person who knows the importance of sleep. It’s something I am working to correct but is taking time. Some days I feel like I am killing it in every way and my energy is great. Emphasis on the SOME, haha. Many days, I feel like I struggle to hang with this super low energy and really have to fight an internal battle to get everything done. Occasionally, I check out for a nap. IM HUMAN! Tina Fey said, “I think every working mom probably feels the same thing; You go through big chunks of time where you’re just thinking ‘this is impossible.’ And then, you just keep going and keep going and sort of doing the impossible.” ….at minimum, this working mom gets it.
I am however SO excited that spring is finally here and the weather is starting to warm up. I am a total flower when it comes to sunlight, I love to be in the sun. It gives me life! My energy grows, my motivation is higher and my body feels stronger and healthier. Aside from the allergens, I am all smiles! I am really looking forward to this summer and going on many beautiful hikes, soaking up all of the Colorado vibes, and enjoying life with the mini. There is so much in store for us this year and life is really exciting!
In a week, I get to visit Las Vegas for the first time as an adult. I once visited when I was a very small kid, but that was only enough to leave with memories of a cool medieval restaurant and the water fountain show. I am going on a business trip with my boyfriend Thomas and I am thrilled to get to experience a new city and break out of the daily grind for a few days. We are partnering with our friend and photographer Tony Rocco while in Las Vegas and I am getting the opportunity to shoot photos and videos in amazing locations. This is something I only imagined would be our reality! We couldn’t be more jazzed.
Going forward, I am excited to be working on a summer fitness challenge, my online coaching platform and expanding my education. I am looking forward to new opportunities, new coaching relationships and enjoying the sun! What are you all looking forward to this year?! How are things?! What are you working on getting on track? I would love to hear about it! Drop me a line on Facebook or IG! Cheers to the freakin’ weekend!
